Teen Therapy

Teen Therapy

Growth, at any age, can be challenging. Since children and teens are literally in the throes of growth, they face many new experiences and feelings each year, month, and day! This rapid change, when accompanied by emotional and behavioral struggles, can be especially difficult to navigate. Our goal is to help children (8 and older) and teens identify what is troubling them, get to the root of the issue, and develop strategies that will help them cope and feel better, and reach their full potential. We use treatments based in science with clear track records of success. We do not see children for therapy who have been diagnosed with autism or intellectual disabilities. The psychiatrist will determine appropriateness of medication management on a case by case basis. It is most appropriate to seek medication management in these cases after trying occupational therapy and/or ABA therapy. Our experts develop a clear plan for each child/teen. We believe in forming partnerships to offer a healing, supportive environment. We always fully respect parents’ ability to decide what is best for their child and family.
